GRASS VALLEY, CA — The Sierra backcountry was brought to life on the big screen earlier this year, as professional snowboarder and filmmaker Curtis Woodman premiered his latest cinematic project, From Tahoe with Love, at the historic Del Oro Theater in downtown Grass Valley.

The film premiere offered more than just stunning visuals—it delivered a soulful journey into the heart of the wild. Audiences were swept away by a deep and raw portrayal of backcountry snowboarding, with Curtis guiding viewers through hidden powder stashes accessed only by splitboarding and rugged hikes through the untracked wilderness of the Sierras.

Curtis Woodman, widely celebrated as a Tahoe legend, has long been known for his surf-inspired riding and deep connection with nature. With From Tahoe with Love, he didn’t just showcase snowboard lines—he told a story of passion, perseverance, and place.

As someone who grew up alongside Curtis in Georgetown, CA, I couldn’t have been more proud to witness his evolution from hometown rider to global snowboarding ambassador. He continues to ride with intention, create with heart, and elevate the entire sport through his unique lens and soulful energy.
