Join us at Regatta Grove on Thursday, December 19th, from 6 PM to 8 PM for the Green Pine Holiday Harbour Festival of Lights Christmas Tree Decorating Contest! Compete with your team for a $1,000 cash prize or donate to your favorite charity. For a $100 entry fee, you’ll get a pre-lit 4-foot tree to decorate with your own materials. Judging will focus on creativity, originality, and overall appeal, with the winner announced at 8:30 PM. Space is limited— sign up now and bring your holiday spirit! ��
Event Details:
Sign-Up Fee: $100 per team
Grand Prize: $1,000 cash for the winning team or the charity of your choice
Date: Thursday, December 19th
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Each team will receive a 4-foot pre-lit Christmas tree (randomly assigned at check-in).
Winners will be revealed at 8:30 PM � Decorations
Bring your own decorations and let your creativity shine!
Suggested materials: ornaments, garlands, ribbons, tree toppers, or DIY crafts.
Prohibited items: open flames, hazardous materials, or offensive imagery.
Rules and Guidelines
Tree Specifications
– each team will be provided with a 4-foot PRE-LIT CHRISTMAS TREE.
– Trees will be assigned randomly at check-in.
Decorations
– participants must bring their own decorations. Creativity is encouraged!
– decorations may include (not limited to) Ornaments, Garland, Ribbons, Tree toppers, DIY items.
Setup
– Teams will have 2 hours to decorate their trees.
– Setup begins at 6 PM, and all decorating must stop at 8 PM.
– Workspaces must be kept tidy and free from obstructions.
Judging Criteria
– Trees will be judged on the following: Creativity and Originality (40%), Use of Materials (30%), Overall Aesthetic Appeal (30%)
Judges
– A panel of local community members and Regatta Grove representatives will serve as judges.
– the decision of the judges is final.
Winner Announcement
– winners will be announced at 8:30 PM on the event day.
– the winning team will receive a $1000 CASH PRIZE.
Registration
– the $100 registration fee must be paid upon signing up.
– Space is limited.
