Vegas Still Has Nights That Feel Real
Las Vegas is full of shows.
Big stages. Big lights. Big productions!
But every once in a while, you walk into something that feels different the second you step through the doors.
That was my first solo experience at Mondays Dark at The Space in Las Vegas — and yeah… safe to say my first-timer cherry experience officially got popped. 🫶🏽
And honestly?
Definitely will not be my last time.
This wasn’t just another Vegas event. It felt like a real community experience built around entertainment, storytelling, music, laughter, and giving back on a small stage with live steam.
The kind of atmosphere where you can feel the room supporting not only the performers — but each other.
As someone who has spent years around nightlife, entertainment, celebrity circles, events, promotions, media, hospitality, golf events, fashion, and Vegas culture… you can tell pretty quickly when something is authentic.
This felt authentic.
From the moment the performances started, the room had energy. Real energy. Not forced Vegas energy. Not overproduced corporate energy. Just talented people doing what they love while helping local charities and causes at the same time.
That combination hits different.
Featured Performers & Personalities 🎭
Huge shoutout to the performers and personalities who helped light up the night:
- Kiearah Figueroa
- Julia Finger
- Hazel Honeysuckle
- Chloe Monet
- Asha Di Canta
- Dezi Marie
- Dayna Tully
- Anne Martinez
- Mark Shunock
- Holly Madison
Everybody brought their own style and personality to the stage, and that’s what made the night flow so well.
One moment you’re laughing, the next someone is crushing a vocal performance, then suddenly the room shifts into real stories connected to people and causes around Las Vegas.
That’s the kind of entertainment people remember.
Holly Madison, Vegas History & Full Circle Connections ✨
One of the coolest parts for me personally was seeing Holly Madison there sharing stories and memories — including one involving Paris Hilton.
Back during that era, I (Aaron G. Beebe) actually worked with the Paris Hilton Shoe Company as one of the Hollywood sales representatives, so hearing those stories at Mondays Dark hit a little differently for me on a personal level.
It wasn’t just another celebrity story or Vegas moment.
It brought back memories from a completely different chapter of my life connected to the entertainment, fashion, and nightlife world during that time period.
That’s part of why the moment stood out so much to me, and why I made sure to pass the story along to P (Paris in a DM)… afterward.
For people who grew up during that era of Vegas and reality television, Holly became part of the identity of early 2000s Las Vegas pop culture through shows like The Girls Next Door, her longtime connection to Las Vegas entertainment, and later projects involving books, podcasts, television appearances, paranormal content, and Vegas storytelling.
Today Holly continues working in media, podcasting, entertainment appearances, and storytelling projects tied to Las Vegas history and pop culture. Check out more below –

Seeing her at Mondays Dark added another layer to the experience for me because over the years I’ve crossed paths with people connected to that Vegas/Hollywood entertainment world through nightlife, media, promotions, events, reality television circles, and the Playboy era that shaped a huge part of early 2000s Vegas and Hollywood culture.
A lot of those connections trace back through Brian Olea, Ted Maier, Steve Fowler — people who are connected to a lot of different people, entertainers, and personalities together over the years.
Through those circles, I’ve met or crossed paths with people like top DJ Colleen Shannon, reality personality and Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche, Bridget Marquardt, Sara Jean Underwood, Kendra Wilkinson, I’ve also known longtime friend Donna Perry from Hawaii and many others not listed throughout the years.
My connections with various Playboy DJs and nightlife personalities, and crossed paths with entertainers, agents, managers, and media people connected to that world.
One memory that stands out was helping connect conversations involving abuse awareness and women’s advocacy by bringing Lindsay Wagner onto a Playboy Radio conversation involving Brian Olea and Pilar Lastra during the XM Radio days.
I’ve also support former Cyber Girl, friend, and Virginia hottest new musical artist Gia Ray along with numerous others from the entertainment and nightlife scene over the years.
And honestly… there are way more people and stories than I could probably fit into one article.
Vegas Networking Before Social Media 📸
Back then, Vegas and Hollywood networking felt different.
People actually met in person.
People went out. Supported each other. Ended up at events, clubs, lounges, industry parties, and sometimes even Mansion parties through friends, agents, managers, or talent circles.
It wasn’t all algorithms and social media branding yet.
It was real personal connections that shaped the industry.
It felt more personal.
I was also connected through entertainment and reality management circles involving Ted Maier from Avalon Artists Group and other industry contacts during that era, which opened doors into a lot of experiences, events, and relationships that still connect back around today in strange ways.
The Surprise Proposal Moment 💍
One of the coolest surprise moments of the night was the live on-stage proposal that instantly brought the entire room together.
The crowd erupted, phones came out, emotions kicked in, and for a few minutes the whole venue felt connected to one real moment happening live in front of everybody.
Between the lights, music, cheering, and Vegas-style energy, it became one of those unforgettable moments that perfectly matched what Mondays Dark is all about — community, emotion, entertainment, and memories people will talk about long after the show ended.
More Than Entertainment — Mondays Dark Gives Back ❤️
One of the biggest reasons Mondays Dark stands out isn’t just the performances, celebrity stories, music, or Vegas energy.
It’s the purpose behind it all.
Mondays Dark was created to bring the Las Vegas entertainment community together while raising awareness and support for local charities and nonprofit organizations throughout Southern Nevada.
Every show shines a spotlight on causes that directly impact real people in the community — from families and youth programs to mental health support, veterans, medical assistance, arts programs, food insecurity, and organizations helping people through difficult times.
That’s what makes the atmosphere feel different.
You’re not just walking into a show.
You’re walking into a room full of people supporting something bigger than themselves.
Artists donate their time.
Performers give their energy.
Businesses contribute support.
Locals show up for each other.
And in a city known for entertainment, nightlife, casinos, and tourism… it’s honestly refreshing to see entertainment being used to help build real community impact.
That part hit home for me personally.
As someone who volunteers around Las Vegas, works charity-related events, supports local organizations, and tries to use GonnaHappen as a platform to spotlight people, events, causes, and communities — I respect environments that give back while still creating memorable experiences.
That balance matters.
Mondays Dark found a way to mix entertainment, storytelling, comedy, music, celebrity moments, local talent, and philanthropy into one experience that actually feels genuine.
And that’s probably why so many people continue supporting it year after year.
It’s not just a show.
It’s Vegas locals helping Vegas locals.
The particular night I attended helped support construction workers and families connected to the local trades community
Mark Shunock — The Heart Behind Mondays Dark 🎤
One thing you quickly realize at Mondays Dark is that Mark Shunock isn’t just hosting a show — he’s helping lead a movement inside the Las Vegas entertainment community.
Mark has built a reputation in Las Vegas as a host, entertainer, philanthropist, producer, and community connector. Beyond creating Mondays Dark alongside Cheryl Daro, he’s also known as the in-arena host for the Vegas Golden Knights, a boxing announcer for Top Rank Boxing on ESPN, a Broadway performer from Rock of Ages, and one of the driving forces behind The Space. (vegaspbs.org)
What really stands out though is how much of his focus goes back into Las Vegas itself.
Mondays Dark was created with the mission of raising “$10K in 90 Minutes” for local charities, and over the years the organization has raised millions of dollars for Southern Nevada nonprofits while keeping the money directly in the local community. (The Space Las Vegas)
You can feel that passion when he’s on stage.
He knows how to control a room, keep the energy moving, make people laugh, connect performers together, and still keep the focus on the bigger purpose behind the event.
That’s probably why Mondays Dark feels less like a production and more like a real Vegas family gathering built around entertainment and giving back.

$10K in 90 Minutes — Entertainment with a Purpose 💛
One of the things that makes Mondays Dark stand out in Las Vegas is the mission behind the show itself.
The concept is simple but powerful:
Raise $10,000 for a local charity in just 90 minutes.
That means every performance, ticket, donation, raffle, sponsor, and moment inside the venue is connected to helping real people and organizations throughout Southern Nevada.
And honestly… seeing entertainment used that way changes the energy in the room.
You’re not just watching a show.
You’re helping support families, nonprofits, artists, veterans, youth programs, mental health organizations, food assistance programs, and people in need across Las Vegas.
That’s what gives Mondays Dark a heartbeat beyond entertainment.
It’s Vegas talent and Vegas locals coming together to help Vegas communities.
And after experiencing it in person for the first time, you can understand why people continue supporting it year after year.
The Space Built More Than a Venue 🎶
What also stood out was finally getting to experience The Space itself after hearing about it for years.
You can tell this place wasn’t built overnight.
Over the last 13+ years they’ve created something that genuinely supports local artists, performers, charities, musicians, and creators.
And in Las Vegas — a city constantly chasing the next big thing — that matters.
A lot of venues want attention.
This venue-built community. They are planning and working a larger Facility for the city of Las Vegas!
As somebody who lives in Las Vegas, volunteers at local events, works in entertainment/media, covers golf tournaments, supports charity causes, and continues building GonnaHappen… this is exactly the kind of environment I respect and want to support more.
Not because it’s flashy.
Because it’s genuine.
People supporting charities.
Artists supporting artists.
Locals supporting locals.
Entertainment with purpose.
That’s Vegas too.
Not just casinos and tourists.
There’s a real creative and entertainment community here if you pay attention long enough to see it.
And Mondays Dark feels like one of those places where all of those worlds come together.
This was my first Mondays Dark experience solo…
But definitely not my last.
